Hi Oxbow Archaeologists,

We made it out to the site yesterday. It was a beautiful day at the site (see Photo 1). Marianne, Dave, Nik, Becky, Diane and I made it out.

In the morning we finished excavating the trench on the east side of the excavation (see Map and Photo 2). The only things we found were flakes and bone fragments. In the afternoon I backfilled the trench (see Photo 3). I also prepared the main block for the winter and excavated the 35-40 cm level of 1S-108W. There were numerous flakes and bone fragments in this level.

We saw several deer yesterday. While walking out to take the picture of the site, I was able to snap a picture of a buck (see Photo 4)!

This week we will be at the RB Wednesday evening. What we do next Saturday will depend on the weather. If it isn’t raining we will probably be at the site. I’ll send an email latter in the week about Saturday’s plan.

Scott
