2003 SEASON UPDATES

 

THE 2003 SEASON

    We are beginning our second season at the Ponton site by trying to identify the location of the cabin.  Follow the progress of our excavations through our weekly updates by following the links below.

Weather prevented the Oxbow Archaeologists from going into the field on Saturday, November 8 and 15.  Excavations have ended for the 2003 season.  We are currently doing lab work on Wednesday evenings and Saturdays and will continue with lab work through the winter.  We plan to return to the Ponton site in May or June 2004.  During the 2004 field season we plan on excavating features identified this year and expanding our plow zone excavations.
