Hi Oxbow Archaeologists,

Just a quick note to let you know that tomorrow is the COMA (Conference on Michigan Archaeology) meeting in East Lansing so I won’t be at Oxbow (I’ll be heading back to Ann Arbor after I’m done in Lansing).

The MAS Annual Meeting is Sunday at the State Museum in Lansing. The afternoon program about archaeological frauds should be interesting – so come down if you can!!

Just to update you on the status of Ron’s Paleo-Indian project – Last Saturday (April 10), we excavated three more units and took them down below the plow zone. There was absolutely nothing below the plow zone (no flakes, no F.C.R. - nothing). We probably won’t excavate more at this time and Ron will continue to surface collect and monitor the site.

Hope to see you in Lansing Sunday.

Scott
