Hi Oxbow Archaeologists,

We didn’t excavate at the Naugle site this past Saturday because it was raining in the morning and too wet, but we did excavate on August 11 and 18. We have now completed a 2x10 meter area and will begin an adjacent 3X10 meter area. We have been finding quiet a bit of fire cracked rocks and flakes at the west end of our block but very little pottery. On August 11, I did find a point fragment in unit 14S-31E (see picture below). We haven’t found any features yet.

On Wednesday we’ll probably be excavating at the Naugle site, unless it rains, in which case we’ll be sorting in the RB. On Saturday we’ll also excavate on Naugle.

Hope to see you at the site.

Scott
