BEADS

Several facetted (blue, green, or clear) glass beads have been recovered from the site.  The beads in this picture were found by Art.  The Oxbow Archaeologists found about the same number of these facetted beads in the 2002 excavation season.  In general these beads are different from those that we have found associated with the nearby Chippewa occupations at the Cater site and Site 20MD534.  At these other sites most of the beads are black or white cylindrical beads.
