This summer (2007) Chippewa
Nature Center is considering expanding their Visitor Center. As part of
the expansion plans, the Oxbow Archaeologists are currently salvaging areas of
the Naugle site that will likely be impacted by the new construction.
Prior to the construction of CNC's Visitor Center in 1974, volunteer
archaeologists, under Fel Brunett's direction, conducted salvage excavations.
