Several sherds of "Old" or "Staffordshire" Blue Transfer Printed ware occur in the Pomranky collection. This type of dark blue transfer was common in the early nineteenth century but was going out of style in the 1830's at the time of the Ponton occupation. A "Clew" backmark was on an Old Blue Transfer plate that was found in the 2002 CNC excavations (see Clew Backmark).
