Hi Oxbow Archaeologists,
Nik, Becky, Kevin, and I made it out to the site on Saturday.
In the morning we excavated the 20-25 cm level of units 2S-103W and 2S-104W (see
map-9-20-08.gif).
We recovered several flakes and bone fragments but nothing out of the ordinary.
In the afternoon I excavated the 45-50 cm levels of units 0S-2S – 107W-108W in
the original excavation
block. This at the bottom or just below the occupation and I only found a few
flakes, bone fragments,
and F.C.R.
This week we will meet at the Resource Building on Wednesday evening. Next
Saturday we will plan
on excavating at Sias East.
Coming up on Saturday, October 11 we will have a table at Archaeology Day at the
State Museum in
Lansing. I could use a person or two to help with the table if anyone is
interested.
Hope to see you at the site.
Scott
